Our Story
Welcome to IBCZ, an English speaking Christian fellowship in Rüschlikon, on the outskirts of Zurich. Our main Sunday service is a family service, with childcare provided, at 10.30 every Sunday. In addition to the main service we have home groups, a weekly prayer meeting and an active youth group. We would love to get to know you so feel free to join us for a Sunday Service and introduce yourself!
In February 2016 IBCZ celebrated her 20th anniversary. Here is the story of how we formed as a church and some of the amazing things God has done amongst us over the past 20 years. We want you, however, to be part of our future. Come and join us in fellowship and experience our church family as we seek to worship and serve our God together.
Get to know us personally
Say Hi! If there is anything that drives us it is the love for our Lord and His people. For this reason, do not hesitate to approach anyone in the community, say hello and start a conversation. We’d love to hear your story and would be glad to share ours.
Join a homegroup. Small groups of individuals with similar ages, interests and cultural backgrounds, meeting regularly in a home in order to deepen our knowledge of the Bible and discuss crucial aspects of our faith-life. There’s no better way to make new friends and get to know one another.
Attend a camp or retreat. There’s something for everyone. A time away from our daily routines, work challenges or school chores. Enjoy the fresh air in the mountains or the views over the lake and dive into pleasant conversations with no time restraints, a break from it all together with brothers and sisters in Christ.
Facilities
Parking. There are 3 parking bays right next to the church entrance for elderly people or persons with special needs. For the rest, there is big underground parking garage available free of charge right next door, special to our neighbours from Swiss Re.
If you come by train, we recommend getting off at train station Rüschlikon, were a shutlle bus for transportation between the station and the church is available to you, alternatively it is a 15 minute walk up the hill.
Children. They will not get bored, that is our commitment! Our Sunday School is designed for various age groups: Pre-School, Kindergarten, Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6 and teenagers. Not feeling lucky yet? Well, we also have a nursery, for kids up to 3 years old. All will be lovingly taken care of in a user-friendly environment.
Coffee and snacks. Hang out with us after our service for a bite to eat and a drink in the Church foyer. Cakes and other snacks are prepared by willing hands, free of charge.
