Why we have a library
In the early church we read that the Apostles exhorted the believers to read the Word of God and to grow continually in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This exhortation remains valuable and practical advice to believers today. Reading the Bible regularly and diligently everyday makes us grow strong in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and helps us lead a fruitful life in Him. The many difficult and troublesome situations that confront us in life can be boldly faced and readily overcome if only we know and live in accord with the wholesome truth set out in His Word of the ONE who is Truth.
We are privileged to live in this day and age with ready access to a so much Bible study material – material that details the historical context and background of the various books in the Bible and sets out the intended meaning of the Word of God. There are also other genres of Christian books that share practical ways in which the Word of God, prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit have been useful to many fellow believers in God’s kingdom. Together these books constitute a wealth of Godly wisdom and are a healthy prescription for both our daily lives. Below you can find a catalogue of the various genres of books available in our own Church library. We invite you to take time to inspect the available books, to select and read one that is relevant or appealing to you, and to encourage other family members to do likewise.
