Real Hope!

Today, more and more people are finding themselves alone and depressed. The good news is that help is available, not the kind the world has, wherein it wishes for the best. It is one thing to wish, and quite another to have hope based on the promises of God.

Our Heavenly Father delights in those who place their hope in Him. His unconditional love, concern, and Hope-Filled Scriptures are consistently in His Word from Genesis to Revelation.

In the Bible hope means, “to desire something with confident expectation of its fulfilment.” Wishing and hoping in people, events, and circumstances is not real hope. Real hope springs from absolute faith in God and His promises. These Hope-Filled Scriptures are for you.

“Hope Filled Scriptures”

Rom 12:12 – “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

Psalm 146:5 – “Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God.”

Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

This Sunday we will return to studying 1 Thessalonians and consider chapter 4 verses 13-18. The title of the sermon is “He is coming, are you going?” I am looking forward to sharing this word of hope and comfort with you.

Yours, Rejoicing in the Lord,

Pastor/ Elder, IBCZ.
