In a letter addressed to the Elders of IBCZ David MacDonald has responded to the church’s call for him and his wife, Anne, to become our new pastoral couple:
Cape Town 19 July 2023
Dear Elders of IBCZ,
We feel humbled by the way our LORD has led both you as a church and us as a couple through the process of the past couple of months. As we have been praying and seeking our LORD’s will, we believe that in faith we are led to accept your call to myself (David) to be your future Pastor at IBCZ, and as a couple look forward to the privilege and opportunity of serving you as a church to the glory of our Lord.
We recognise that I need to pass the German BI exam, … Please be in prayer for myself as I give myself to learning German for this exam.
…
We will be letting our International Director, our colleagues, and our supporters know of this new direction for us over the next 2 weeks at various meetings. Please pray with us that our communications will be met with understanding and seeing God’s hand in this decision. We continue to keep you in our prayers.
Your fellow servants in Christ
