Help for Ukrainian Refugees

Dear Members and Friends of IBCZ,
I know we all are deeply troubled by the war being fought in Ukraine. I know we are all praying for an end to the killing and destruction.
Along with prayer, we can make a difference in tangible ways. We have already announced that you can give money to the church that we will send to the European Baptist Federation. They will then send it to the Ukrainian Baptist Union, who will use the gifts to help those in need who are still in Ukraine. You can give a cash gift using the envelopes at the church marked “Ukraine,” or give electronically and also designate it for Ukraine.
In addition, we all know about the countless refugees who have fled Ukraine and are also in need of assistance. For many years we have supported the Open Door Ministry in Romania and their work with the victims of human trafficking. They also have a ministry to orphans there. Along with those ministries, they have also taken in about 20 orphans from Ukraine, and are assisting other refugees as well. The Open Door Director, Moni, has sent us a list of things they need the most to assist the orphans and refugees. If you would like to contribute, you can drop them off at the church this Saturday, March 19, between 9:00 and 12:00, or you can bring them on Sunday morning. The items will be sorted and shipped the following week, thanks to the generosity of a caring family.
Below is the list of items Moni said the need the most. Thank you so much for helping in whatever way you can.
Grace and peace,
Bob

    Hi Pastor,
I’m Bob Marsh, former church planter & pastor of the IBC church in Darmstadt, Germany. I now work with Converge International Ministries as Impact Team Leader for the Europe and Mediterranean Region. Part of my recent duties is to oversee our efforts to support and supply aid to Ukrainian churches and refugees. I’ve been asked if I know any churches in Switzerland. Would your church be interested in receiving and assisting refugees? I look forward to hearing from you.
