Dear Members and Friends of IBCZ,
It is a joy to be able to share with you that beginning this Sunday, Feb. 20, our Sunday morning worship services will no longer be limited to 50 people or to only those who are vaccinated, nor will you need to register in advance. On Wednesday, the government announced that such restrictions are being lifted. So, everyone who wants to attend can attend. I know we have all been looking forward to this, and have been praying for this.
The Elders have decided that facemasks will still be required while inside for adults and children in first grade and above. We do this as a way of making sure those who are more vulnerable to the virus and its possible consequences are protected. We anticipate keeping the facemask requirement until the end of March, even as is true for those on public transportation. This is also in line with the facemask requirements of other venues that host large gatherings of people, such as the Zurich Opera House, the Tonhalle Zurich, and other theaters.
This also means that other church gatherings can resume, such as the Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Home Groups can decide for themselves whether they want to meet in person or online. The Prayer Meeting will continue to meet online as that works better for most people who have been participating.
Now that we all can gather for worship on a weekly basis, let’s make the most of this by not only attending, but also taking time to nurture and strengthen our relationships with one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Bob
