Dear Members and Friends of IBCZ,
Over the last few weeks we experienced unexpected changes in our daily routines.
Most of us would probably say, I would like to have my life back as it was before.
Due to the Covid-19 virus we face a couple of restrictions and challenges we were not used to. We have the fear this pandemic might threaten our health and those of our loved ones. It might have a negative impact on our job, financial situation and freedom in terms of how we spend our free time and where we travel.
In last week´s sermon Pastor Bob was focusing on the passage from James 4:13-17.
We were reminded how fragile we as humans are.
The scripture advises us to not forget this and to bring all our plans humbly before God.
It also emphasizes to do good as long as we have the time and opportunity to do so.
Last Sunday we used modern technology to connect again as Home Group. We were able to hear and see each other over video. This time we were even all complete. It was great to hear everybody is doing well. During our conversation we realized once more, we are foreigners in this country and most of us are having their families and relatives geographically not close by. At the same time it was very inspiring and encouraging to hear and feel: “We are here for each other and ready to help wherever we can.”
Please let us continue to pray for one another and the church around the globe. May this time help us to grow spiritually and in unity.
Grace, peace and greetings from the Rüschlikon Home Group
